Stillman College’s Art, Music & Language Education Department is searching for a full-time
assistant professor and part-time visiting professors to teach undergraduate-level classes in
music theory, music education, piano instruction, and general music survey courses. Successful
applicants will have a master’s degree or higher in their area(s) of specialty.
To be considered for a full-time position, applicants must hold a terminal degree or have
completed 30 semester hours of graduate-level coursework in a relevant field at an accredited
institution. Candidates with elementary or secondary certification, the ability to lead an
ensemble, and experience teaching at the college level will be given preference. Academic
qualifications must be in compliance with the Alabama Department of Education Administrative
Code. Employment will begin in August 2023.
