Description
Stillman College invites applications for a full-time, nine-month faculty position in Accounting within the School of Business, beginning Fall 2026 (or earlier if mutually agreed upon). The
successful candidate will join a collegial and student-centered academic community committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
Job Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in Accounting (examples: Principles of Accounting I & II, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and related courses)
- Advise and mentor Accounting majors and business students
- Engage in curriculum development and assessment efforts aligned with IACBE accreditation standards
- Participate in School of Business committees, recruitment, and student engagement initiatives
- Maintain scholarly activity in accordance with College and School expectations
- Contribute to community and professional service consistent with the mission of Stillman College
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Accounting or a closely related field required
- CPA certification or significant professional accounting experience strongly preferred
- College-level teaching experience is preferred, but strong professional background with demonstrated instructional ability will be considered
- Commitment to high-impact teaching practices and student success, including first-generation and diverse student populations
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctorate in Accounting or business-related field (completed or ABD)
- Experience using technology-supported and online instructional delivery
- Evidence of scholarly engagement (research, presentations, publications, or professional development)
