Description

The Dean of the School of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Computation and Informational Sciences
(SBECIS) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership to the academic division.
This includes overseeing academic programs, faculty recruitment and development, budget
management, and building relationships with the business community.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership 

• Develop and implement a strategic plan for the division in alignment with the  college's vision and goals. 

• Foster an environment of academic excellence and innovation. 

• Represent the division within the college and in external academic and business  communities. 

Academic Administration 

• Oversee curriculum development and program quality. 

• Ensure accreditation standards are met and maintained. 

• Promote research and scholarship among faculty and students. 

• Serve on the Academic Affairs Committee and bring all curricular and program  proposals to the Committee for review and approval. 

Faculty and Staff Management 

• Recruit, develop, and retain a diverse and highly qualified faculty and staff. • Evaluate faculty and staff performance and support professional development. • Encourage and facilitate cross-disciplinary collaboration. 

Financial Management 

• Develop and manage the division's budget. 

• Allocate resources in alignment with strategic priorities. 

Community and Business Engagement 

• Build and maintain relationships with business leaders and alumni. 

• Foster partnerships with industry for research, internships, and employment  opportunities for students. 

• Promote the dissemination and application of research findings.

       Student Success 

• Ensure a supportive learning environment for students. 

• Promote student engagement and leadership development. 

• Oversee student recruitment, retention, and career services. 

• Provide leadership in academic and program advising to ensure student success is  achieved at a high level. 

• Lead in the evaluation of transfer student applications and transcripts to facilitate  efficient admission and enrollment of new students into the program. 

 External Engagement and Collaboration 

• Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, academic institutions, and  accreditation bodies. 

• Represent the division in external events, conferences, and professional  associations. 

• Foster partnerships and collaborations that enhance the division’s and college's  reputation and opportunities. 

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion 

• Advocate and promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the  division. 

• Implement policies and practices that ensure equitable opportunities for all faculty,  staff, and students. 

Perform Other Duties as Assigned 

• Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the Provost and V.P. of  Academic Affairs, aligned with the strategic goals and needs of the division. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

• Doctoral and/or graduate degree in Business or related field. 

• Demonstrated experience in academic leadership and administration. 

• Strong record of teaching excellence and scholarly research. 

• Proven ability to manage budgets and allocate resources effectively. 

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
