Stillman College seeks a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and implementation of strategic communications initiatives that advance the College’s mission, elevate brand awareness, and strengthen engagement among key audiences. Reporting to the Vice President for Institutional Advancement, the Marketing and Communications Manager oversees the College’s integrated communications strategy — including media relations, marketing campaigns, storytelling, digital content, and brand management — ensuring a consistent and compelling message across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications & Brand Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing plans aligned with institutional priorities and advancement goals.
- Ensure brand consistency and visual identity across all digital, print, and promotional materials.
- Collaborate with campus departments to enhance the visibility of academic programs, student success stories, and community partnerships.
Digital and Social Media Management
- Oversee the College’s website and social media platforms, ensuring timely, engaging, and brand-consistent content.
- Manage digital campaigns, analytics, and SEO strategies to expand reach and engagement.
- Produce multimedia content (video, photography, graphics) that supports storytelling and donor engagement.
Media and Public Relations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and coordinate press releases, op-eds, and feature stories.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets.
- Draft speeches, talking points, and internal messaging for College leadership.
Marketing and Advancement Support
- Support Institutional Advancement campaigns through strategic messaging, donor communications, event promotion, and creative design.
- Manage marketing timelines, vendor relationships, and project budgets.
- Collaborate on the design and execution of fundraising materials, sponsorship packets, and donor stewardship communications.
Internal Communications
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure timely and transparent communication to faculty, staff, and students.
- Create and distribute newsletters, updates, and other institutional announcements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field (master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, or public relations — preferably in higher education or nonprofit environments.
Skills & Competencies
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies.
- Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency with digital marketing tools (WordPress, Constant Contact, Meta Business Suite, Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, Google Analytics).
- Strong organizational and project management abilities with attention to deadlines and detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with senior leaders, faculty, staff, and external partners.
