Stillman College is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Communications Specialist to manage and enhance the college’s communications, brand identity, and website presence. This full-time position will play a key role in supporting Institutional Advancement by creating, implementing, and maintaining effective communication strategies that promote the college’s mission, programs, and initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive communication plans that align with Stillman College’s strategic goals and branding standards.
- Manage all internal and external communications, including press releases, newsletters, social media content, and marketing materials.
- Maintain and update the college’s website to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging, while working collaboratively with IT and other departments.
- Uphold and strengthen the college’s brand identity through consistent messaging and visual standards across all communications platforms.
- Support Institutional Advancement efforts by producing compelling content for fundraising campaigns, alumni relations, donor communications, and event promotions.
- Monitor media coverage and coordinate public relations activities to enhance the college’s reputation.
- Collaborate with various campus departments to ensure cohesive communication efforts and brand consistency.
- Track and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and recommend improvements.
- Manage communication tools and platforms, ensuring accessibility and usability for diverse audiences.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in communications, brand management, or digital media.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with website content management systems (CMS), social media platforms, and digital marketing tools.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and experience with design software is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Work Schedule (a full-time, 12-month in-person position)
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm (possible variations, such as occasional evening or weekend work depending on the organizational events)
