The Recruitment Counselor supports Stillman College’s strategic enrollment goals by managing, coordinating, and executing key aspects of the student recruitment and admissions process. This role provides exceptional service to prospective students and families, assists with admissions operations, and serves as a College ambassador to ensure an engaging and seamless applicant experience.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise prospective students on admissions requirements, academic programs, deadlines, and campus resources.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, text, or in-person from students, families, and high school counselors.
  • Manage and process applications, transcripts, and admissions documents with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain records and track applicants through the College’s CRM and student information systems.
  • Schedule and participate in campus tours, preview days, orientations, and recruitment fairs (virtual and in-person).
  • Collaborate with other departments to support a smooth onboarding experience for new students.
  • Monitor application files to ensure completion and follow up with students as needed.
  • Provide general administrative support, including front-desk coverage, mailings, and filing.
  • Assist in the execution of strategic communication campaigns to engage prospective students.
  • Support initiatives to improve conversion rates at all stages of the admissions funnel.
  • Track and report enrollment data and trends to inform decision-making.
  • Represent Stillman College at off-campus recruitment events, including high school visits and community fairs.
  • Offer feedback on recruitment processes and contribute to customer service improvements.
  • Support special projects and assignments as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 1–2 years of experience in admissions, customer service, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a student-first mindset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to serve diverse populations.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Slate, Jenzabar, Ellucian, Salesforce) preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving ability.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for recruitment.
